In this new-age take on a classic silhouette, Off-White takes the timeless Air Max 90 model, and with the addition of zip ties and inside out construction, turns it into one of the most sought after shoes in the market today. Since releasing the original Off-White Nike Air Max 90 dressed in white with an iced out blue sole, the Swoosh has worked with Virgil to create two additional colorways. One of which is all black with a white swoosh, and the other being a ‘desert ore’ colorway which follows the same color blocking with a desert brown base and vibrant pink swoosh.
Looking at the graph above, we can see that the original Off-White Air Max 90 hase seen immense appreciation in the resale market since its original release amongst Virgil’s ‘The Ten’ project, with prices going from $600 post-release, to upwards of $1800 three years later leading into 2021. Another interesting find is the apparent synchronization of prices for the all-black and desert ore colorways. It appears that since their initial release in 2019, the two pairs have been averaging nearly the exact same resale prices, with a slight deviation from each other in the past few months.
